Projects

A current snapshot of projects in development - what each project does, and exactly what state it is in. Status ratings below are conservative: where something is a prototype rather than a product, it says so.

Laboratory and Industrial products

With more than 30 years' direct experience in Forensic Science Operational and Technical leadership, we have a serious focus on solving problems in laboratory and similar environments.  This is a family of products for forensic and accredited laboratories, built on a shared platform — common identity, organisation modelling, audit logging and notification - while remaining separate deployable products with independent release cycles.

  • Breath Test Connect (BTc) — secure connectivity and fleet management for evidential breath-alcohol instruments. Live platform with a public demo; first agency production deployment in progress.
  • Lab Connect — ISO 17025 / FBI QAS temperature and humidity monitoring for laboratory storage. Near-MVP; awaiting a hardware field trial.
  • Lab Support Connect — support-issue and equipment-maintenance (including critical equipment) tracking that produces accreditation evidence as a by-product of daily work. In production; public demo available.
  • Forensic DMS — controlled quality manuals and procedures, crosswalked to accreditation standards. Advanced prototype in active development.

Laboratory tooling

Smaller, focused tools built around specific laboratory problems.

  • Complexity-Aware Casework Reporting — productivity and turnaround reporting that compares like with like instead of counting every case as equal. Method validated against production data; tool not yet built.
  • Lab Report Linter — deterministic conformance checking of finished reports; automated administrative review and light technical reviews; flags defects, never edits. Functional demo.
  • DNA Cross-Check — automated contamination and cross-batch QC screening, recall-first by design. Working prototype, in validation.

Other work

  • LokiLoop — very lightweight and offline-first golf GPS, scoring, and caddy/club selection. Handles individual rounds, group outings, and scramble teams cleanly. In production and in active development.
  • golfvec — aerial-imagery vectorisation producing the course geometry and distancing behind LokiLoop. In active development, in internal use.
  • auto_former — generic tool for automated transcription of paper forms into software systems. Built as a tool for larger systems that need integrated dynamic, version-controlled, forms.  Prototype, development stable.
  • Open Source Contributions — upstream fixes and published home-automation blueprints. Ongoing.

If any of these is relevant to what you are working on, I would be glad to talk about it.
